V: The Complete Second Season Blu-ray

Warner Bros. has announced V: The Complete Second Season for Blu-ray on October 18th. The final season produced before the show's cancellation, this set features 10 episodes spread across two BD-50 discs with DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 tracks.

Special features for V: The Complete Second Season will include:

Willa Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition Blu-ray

Warner Bros. has announced details surrounding the release of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory: 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition. The children's classic, which has already seen a Blu-ray and Blu-ray digibook release, will be get another edition on October 4th to commerorate the film's 1971 release. This set will include two Blu-ray discs for the film and special features and a DVD version.

Collectible materials housed in the double-wide box will include a 144-page book featuring color photos and notes, a Wonka Bar pencil tin with scented pencils and eraser and a Wonka Bar box with archival production letters. Purchasing the set also gives the buyer a chance to win a trip for two to Los Angeles.

The Ultimate Collector's Edition brings over special features from previous releases and adds a couple new ones. These include:

Criterion's October Blu-ray Line-Up: Korda, Shindo, Antonioni, Kenton, Linklater, Kobayashi and Pasolini

Criterion has unveiled a new batch of titles, all of which will street in October. These include Zoltбn Korda's 1939 epic The Four Feathers, Kaneto Shindo's Kuroneko, Michelangelo Antonioni's Identification of a Woman and Island of Lost Souls, a 1932 Erle C. Kenton tale based on H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau.

Past releases getting the Blu-ray treatment are Masaki Kobayashi's 1962 samurai tale Harakiri, Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salт, or The 120 Days of Sodom and Richard Linklater's nostalgic comedy Dazed and Confused.

All titles carry the standard Criterion SRP of $39.95 with the exception of Identification of a Woman, which has been priced a bit lower at $29.95 (and has the fewest amount of extras). Special features and release dates for each title are outlined below.
