Sony's 2010 TV and Blu-ray range in detail

The new 2010 Sony Bravia range includes Full HD 3D and 3D-ready TVs, plus the company's first 3D Blu-ray player and home cinema in a box system. Many of the new TVs include wi-fi for easy access to Bravia Internet TV, MotionFlow technology for smoother images and LED backlighting.

What's more, Sony says 75 per cent of its 2010 Bravia TVs in the UK will be equipped with Freeview HD tuners, giving access to a range of high-definition programmes including the FIFA World Cup this summer.

And Bravia Internet TV will give access to Demand Five, a catch-up TV service from Channel Five, as well as movies on demand from Lovefilm. Owners will also be able to access social networking sites such as Twitter, Flickr and Facebook. 

Lower down the TV range are the Essential models with integrated Blu-ray or DVD players. All models adopt Sony's new 'Monolithic Design' styling. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the full range, which will be available in the UK from late February onwards:

The flagship BDP-S770 model will be compatible with 3D Blu-ray discs, has integrated wi-fi and Bravia Internet Video Link and iPhone control. It will be available this summer.

:flag: BlLU-RAY HOME CINEMA SYSTEMS :flag:

The flagship model in Sony's all-in-one home cinema range for 2010 is the 3D-capable BDV-IZ1000W. As well as offering 3D playback, it has Bravia Internet Video, includes the Entertainment Database Browser to access film disc cover art, actor and production information via the web, DLNA certification and can be controlled via its own remote or an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch.

Its five ultra-slim speakers deliver 'virtual' 7.1 surround sound, says Sony, and the rear speakers are wireless. S-Master digital amplification delivers a claimed 1000W, there's auto calibration for easy set-up and two HDMI inputs allow for connection of external devices such as a PS3 or set-top box.

Three more 5.1 Sony Blu-ray in a box systems will be launched in 2010, all with Bravia Internet Video, Entertainment Database Browser, iPod and Walkman playback via USB, DLNA compatibility and iPod Touch/iPhone control.
